With A Raucous, Celebrity-Filled Game Of Truth Or Dare, Madonna Announced Her Celebration Tour

A new world tour by Madonna will showcase four decades of her most popular songs.

The “Vogue” and “La Isla Bonita” hitmaker unveiled her 12th tour on Tuesday in a strange, NSFW video that included a dinner-party game of truth or dare with participants Amy Schumer, Jack Black, and Lil Wayne, among others. The movie also featured the announcement of Madonna’s “Celebration Tour.” You might never look at bread or Diplo the same way again after seeing that. (Another challenge had “Madonna: Truth or Dare” star Madonna and her friends recreate a scene from her 1992 book “Sex.”)

The 35-city tour begins on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada, and travels to the U.S., the U.K., and Europe after that. This fall, the tour stops in Los Angeles, with a performance at the downtown Crypto.com Arena on September 27.

After that, the North American leg concludes with two performances: one on October 4 at the Chase Center in San Francisco and one on October 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

After that, the 64-year-old Material Girl performs another 12 performances across the pond, beginning the tour on October 14 at London’s O2 Arena and wrapping it up on December 1 at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome. Here is a list of all the cities and times.

Live Nation, the concert promoter, announced on Tuesday that “The Celebration Tour will take us on Madonna’s artistic journey across four decades and pay honour to the city of New York, where her career in music began.” The seven-time Grammy Award winner will give two concerts at Madison Square Garden on August 23 and 24, marking New York the only American city to host consecutive shows on the tour. (Paris will see two performances in November.)

In a tone quite different from that of her video introduction, Madonna continued, “I am delighted to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for.

Caldwell Tidicue, appearing in the video under the name Bob the Drag Queen, will accompany Madonna on all of the dates of the world tour.

The L.A. show is one of the events for which tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time; other events’ tickets go on sale on January 27. Both Citi cardholders and legacy Madonna fan club members have access to presales before both on-sale dates.
